Dhanbad Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
The Dhanbad Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DSOG) is a respected professional organization committed to advancing women’s health, medical education and ethical clinical practice in Jharkhand. Formed in the early 1970s as an offshoot of the Bihar–Patna Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, it soon grew into an independent body, responding to the region’s need for a dedicated platform for specialists. DSOG was founded by eminent clinicians, including Dr. Shanker Priya (M.S., FRCOG), Dr. Mrs. Leena Priya (MS, FRCOG), Dr. C. C. Hazra (DGO), Dr. Kublai Kumar (FRCOG) and Dr. Mrs. Aparna Kumar/A. Kumar (MRCOG). Their leadership established a strong culture of academic excellence, collaboration and community service. Today, DSOG continues to promote scientific progress, professional fellowship and improved healthcare for women and children across the region.
